Refund Policy

1. Non-Refundable Custom Engineering

Due to the bespoke nature of custom software development, all payments made to CYPRESS INC for engineering sprints, architectural discovery, and deployment are strictly non-refundable once work has commenced.

2. Milestone-Based Billing

To protect both parties, we utilize milestone-based billing. You are billed at logical project checkpoints (e.g., Wireframes Approved, Database Schema Deployed, V1 MVP Launch). If you are dissatisfied with a milestone, you may halt the project and avoid paying future milestones, but past milestones remain non-refundable.

3. Discovery Phase Retainers

Initial retainers paid to secure our engineering team for "Discovery & Architecture" phases compensate our team for time spent analyzing your business operations. These retainers are non-refundable, even if you decide not to proceed with the full build.

4. Maintenance & Hosting Subscriptions

For ongoing SLA support, AWS hosting, or maintenance retainers, you may cancel your subscription with 30 days written notice. You will be billed for the final month, and no prorated refunds will be issued for mid-cycle cancellations.

5. Remediation Over Refunds

If the delivered software fails to meet the specifications clearly outlined in the SOW, our policy is remediation, not refund. We will dedicate necessary engineering resources to fix bugs or discrepancies at no additional cost during the 30-day post-launch warranty period.

6. Submission of Disputes

If you believe there has been a billing error or a fundamental breach of contract warranting a financial review, please submit a detailed dispute to connect@cyprestudio.com. Our executive team reviews all disputes within 5 business days.
